Telemedicine is a relatively new area of health care delivery that
should become more common in the future. Telemedicine is that practice
of having a health care professional examine a patient via
teleconference. This technology has been used to provide medical
treatment to remote places. Typically, a physician or specialist is on
one end of the teleconference and a nurse or local physician with the
patient is on the other end. |
