Infusion Pump Claims(Product Liability & Defective Product Claims)
Defective infusion pump claims are a type of defective product or product liability claim. Product liability claims have become more common as mass marketing, production, and distribution have made it easier for one business to sell defective products all over the World. These products can cause severe damages as can be seen by defective infusion pumps, asbestos products, cigarettes, hernia mesh patches, defective tires, defective pet food, defective vehicles, defective medications, and defective medical devices.
If you have been injured by a defective product including defective infusion pumps, feel free to submit an inquiry or send an e-mail to Texas defective infusions pump lawyer Jason Coomer. He is a Texas defective product & infusion pump lawyer and may be able to help you recover your damages.
Defective Infusion Pump Claims (FDA Class I Recall of Infusion Pumps)
In August 2007, Baxter Healthcare Corp.
and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notified
healthcare professionals and consumers of a Class I Recall
of Baxter upgraded Colleague Triple Channel Volumetric
Infusion Pumps, Model numbers 2M8153, 2M8163, and 2M9163.
These electronic infusion pumps are used to deliver
controlled amounts of medications or other fluids to
patients through an intravenous (IV), intra-arterial (IA),
epidural, or other direct line into the bloodstream.

The product was recalled because a software irregularity
causes the Infusion Pumps to alarm, display an error code
(16:310:867:0002) and stop the infusion. This occurs during
user programming with all three channels infusing fluids at
the same time. There are reports of serious injuries.
Interruption of life-sustaining therapy could lead to
serious injury or death.  For more information from the
					FDA, please go to the

					FDA Website.
